Understand your leaky heart valve

Mitral regurgitation (MR) and tricuspid regurgitation (TR) are serious conditions, but there are treatment options that can repair your leaky heart valve.

What are mitral and tricuspid regurgitation?

If you have mitral or tricuspid regurgitation, it means your respective valve doesn't close properly. This causes blood to leak back through the valve, making your heart work harder to get enough blood to the rest of the body.1–3 With MR or TR, you may experience symptoms that can cause an overall decrease in your quality of life.

Why treat MR and TR?

A leaky heart valve can be a serious threat to your health. Mitral and tricuspid regurgitation may worsen over time, so it’s important to seek medical advice as soon as possible.1,3

If you have mitral or tricuspid regurgitation and your doctor has decided that heart surgery is not right for you, transcatheter valve repair with the PASCAL Precision system may be an option.
